I picked this (and the rest of the images) for this post because, after I completed my first photo session in college, I realised that i enjoy photographing nature. The reason i picked this as my feature image is that I really like the vibrant colours coming out of it. I also really like that you can see the marks on the tree trunk where it has been cut and the rings on it, depicting its age. Despite the fact that majority of the tree is gone, it is still standing which shows how strong nature is and that is something that I find fascinating. I chose this image because I like the contrast between the light coming in from behind the trees and the trees themselves.This is an image of the cycling path leading into the college campus which can be seen on the right side of the foreground. I chose this image because I like that it follows the theme of the other images. I think the foreground and background nicely blend together in the middleground.This image appeals to me due to the tree being the main focus point of the image. If you observe around the tree, you can see all of the man made things surrounding it. This, to me, shows that despite being surrounded by all of this darkness on the ground, the tree is still growing and reaching out to the bright sky which gives it a sense of hope.
